UPDATE: Version 3 of the ADP is not available!
Here is the link to the post: Average Draft Position Version 3
Please follow the above link to the new version.
Watch for me at Mock Draft Central with the team name of winabango.
I have also added the permanent link (bb-average draft position) to this post along the top.

This spreadsheet sounds great - is there any way that those of us without the Microsoft office suite can get a copy of the information?
Nice update, I’m really looking forward to using the scarcity reports in my drafts. Thanks for all the hard work
Willie,
What software do you have? I can try to save each page as a comma delimited file and send it to you that way.
Wondering how i could correlate the average draft position to auction price. I figure that players should be priced and rated according to the closest competition but not sure if draft postion correlates
Great info! Can’t wait to use it, but I am in an AL only league. Any chance you can do AL (NL) only scarcity report?
I am working on a much larger scarcity report that will have more information on it. The difficult part of doing an NL or AL only report is that the data that I have is from full universe drafts. I will try splitting them and see how it lays out.
As far as auction pricing, I am not sure what would be the best way to do it. I will try to come up with something.
for the ones that dont have microsoft office, try these free alternatives:
-doc.google.com it’s office alternative from the guys at google.
-openoffice.org
no need to pay hundreds for office when most people just use 2% of its functionality
Nice work! One small piece of advice - I would recommend using medians instead of averages. That is much less sensitive to one crazy draft position for a player.
I will look into doing that for next year’s file.
An outstanding resource!
Thank you for providing us cheap bass tards a tremendous draft tool….
I can assure we are truly grateful for all the effort you put into this project.
Your three up and three down analysis etc is very useful and enjoyable to read.
Thank you!
Thanks for the compliments! This has been a labor of love, and I have learned a ton while doing it.
Hey Jeff,
I found some data that will allow me to incorporate average auctions prices into the spreadsheet.
Kelly
Is this going to be updated again this year or is this it. i would love another updated as my draft approaches to account for all of teh spring training noise
nice work. its appreciated very much.
I should have an additional update hopefully by the end of this weekend. It will have data from 6 more drafts and average Auction pricing.
Is the source for ADP all your own drafts at Mock Draft central? If so, doesn’t that bias the results? I mean, you are going to pick Rich Hill earlier than most other people, so it will seem that his ADP is higher than it would be normally, right?
If not, what are the sources? I’m building a similar spreadsheet to what you’re doing averaging the ADP from Yahoo, ESPN, CBS, and MDC.
If you’re doing something similar, then, once again, I can just use your work like I always do.
The results of the drafts that I use are from as many sources that I can find. I have data from MDC in there, but I also have Fox Sports, CBS Sportsline, MLB radio fans, and other magazine drafts included.
I am still looking for a mock draft from ESPN, MLB, and Yahoo. Although, Funston from Yahoo is in the Fox draft that I am inputing.
I am aware of the possible lean in ADP if the data is taken from all one source. That is why I am trying to find all “expert” drafts. The next spreadsheet will have 16-17 drafts included in it.
Winabango, when do you anticipate the next spreadsheet becoming available? Thanks again for all your work.
I am hoping to post it by the 7th (Wednesday). That should get it posted in time for most of your drafts. I have a lot of data to still input.
Due to illness within my staff, my work schedule has been messed up lately.

These files are great. Any idea how one might adjust for keeper leagues (i.e., how to make sure younger guys go higher than they would in one-year leagues)? Thanks for all your work.
Phil
I play in several keeper leagues, and I have marked each “young” player that I am targeting with a red dot next to their name. I also have a side list that goes even deeper to look at during the draft.
Kelly
A very minor FYI that you prob noticed already - on the big board Conor Jackson is listed twice at positions 219 and 220. Same thing with Kerry Wood at 298 and 299.
What a great resource. I appreciate your work. Looking forward to the next spreadsheet around Wednesday.
Thanks again!
I actually did not notice the duplication of players. I will make sure that is corrected.
Great work. Just curious, will the next spreadsheet have auction values incorporated or is that a project for next year?
I have a resource that should allow me to get auction values added, and have it posted in time.
GREAT work my man.Thank you so much for your efforts!
Looking forward to seeing your site.
