In case you have not heard…

Jonathan Papelbon will now be the closer in Boston. This obviously will affect all teams that drafted him as a starter. What is nice, for those of us who still have a draft to do, is that he now adds another solid closer to the shallow pool of players. Do not expect him to match last years numbers. Expect him to be a solid option for any team. Why? The doctors have said that he needs regular rest, and cannot pitch 4-5 days in a row like he did last year. During those times of rest he may miss out on some save opportunities, but should still net 30-40 over the season. That still sounds like a great fantasy option to me.
