Did anyone notice Brett Myers on Sunday?

Apr 23rd, 2007 by winabango

On Sunday afternoon the Phillies finally won a game with the bullpen coming into the game and pitching.  The way things have been going, that is a great accomplishment.

But did you notice Brett Myers?

If you look at the box score you will notice that nothing seemed different.  He pitched the 9th inning and allowed 1 earned run, walked 1, and struck out 1.  However, Myers was warming up in the bullpen in a save situation for the Phillies.  Going into the 9th inning the score was 5-2.  Then the Phillies proceeded to score several runs that blew the game open.  From what I could tell, Myers was the only one warming up at the time.

I am not saying that Myers is now the closer.  I am just merely pointing out something that I observed while listening to the game.
