“On The Wire” article at Fantasy Baseball Guy
Jul 22nd, 2007 by winabango
I am very proud to announce that I have begun to do a weekly feature article entitled “On The Wire”, which has been posted on the Fantasy Baseball Guy website. Each week I will take a look at some possible players on the waiver wire, and offer some commentary on them. I am very grateful to Paul for allowing me to contribute on his site. Without further adieu, I present the first installment of:

Thanks again to everybody that I was able to help out last night during the “live help” session.

great article. my only suggestion would be to add a “i would drop X, but i wouldn’t drop Y” one liner to give me (and probably others) and idea of what the relative value of the player is…
so like for Gil Meche, it might be, “i would drop sean marshall for him, but not yovanni gallardo” to give readers an idea that Meche’s value is probably between that of gallardo and marshall…just another tool to assists in making the call of whether to drop someone or not, which is always the dilemma!
this is an imperfect suggestion, but fantasy sports is all about relative value, so having an idea of that would add a ton of value imo.
Yes, great column. Agree with what Rick said (it’d also make your column unique from all of the other waiver wire columns).
Thanks for the idea, and I will attempt to incorporate it into the next installment. The suggestions will be very general, and I agree that it would make it different then what is out there currently.
