2008 Mock Draft is Complete!

Jan 20th, 2008 by winabango

After two months of plotting, planning, and selecting, the Fantasy Gameday 2008 Baseball Mock Draft is now complete.  What makes this draft unique is that the participants are regular people who love fantasy baseball.  I have seen enough expert mock drafts this year, and they basically all look the same.  Most of those draft only go 23 rounds.  Our draft went a full 27 rounds, and the teams consist of bench players.  I feel this draft will give a more accurate indication of what your draft will look like.  There were drafters reaching for players, selecting ones from their favorite team, and drafting veterans late in the draft when they did not know who else to pick.

Are we done for 2008?  Not even close!  The first version of the 2008 Fantasy Baseball Average Draft Position and Scarcity Report is scheduled to be released at the end of the month.  2008 Team reports will begin to be released the beginning of February, and a second mock draft will take place at the beginning of March.

I would also like to thank all of the participants in the mock draft.  They were an incredible group of people, and I greatly enjoyed the interaction with everyone.

Kelly
