Mailbag Monday, OTW, and Others
Feb 20th, 2008 by winabango
With the start of Spring Training and the future start of the Fantasy Baseball season, I would like to let everyone know about the new writing schedule for Fantasy Gameday. If you are a long time reader, then you know that I did my best to offer relevant information all season long. To aid in the quest of providing the best information possible, I have hired 5 fantastic writers who will help tremendously in this goal. I would like to take this time, and describe some of the themed content, and get you help in developing some of it. Here are some of the items that will be posted on a regular basis:
- Mailbag Monday - This is where I REALLY need your help. Every Monday I will answer your questions. It does not matter the topic. Do you want my opinion on a particular player, a trade that happened, a trade that you made in your league, pitch-and-ditch options, prospects, or my reasons why the Mets will not win the division. So start sending in those questions today to the winabango e-mail, and put “Mailbag Monday” in the subject line.
- On The Wire - Long time readers will remember that I did a weekly series on possible waiver wire players last year. These articles were always posted on www.fantasybaseballguy.com. This year the article will be posted here at FGD. The article will consist of 10-12 players that may be available on the waiver wire, and our thoughts on them.
- Prospect Watch - I have started to write more about prospect, because it was what you guys requested. See, I do listen! Every two weeks I will highlight a prospect and offer as much knowledge about him as I can.
- Nights at the Round Table - Every so often, all six of us will take a topic and offer our opinions on it. We may have different views on it, or they may be the same. We will collectively offer our thoughts and let you weigh in through the comments section.
- PCP - No, not the drug! I am talking about a point counter-point style of article. This is where two writers will go head-to-head on a player, and tell you if he is for real or not. It will be done in a back and forth method that should prove to be entertaining as well as informative.
In addition to these topics, each contributer to the site will have feature articles that will be posted on a regular basis. We will also have scheduled Live Help time periods throughout the season. This is where you can IM me, or another team member, and get instant help on your Fantasy Baseball teams.
Our goal is to help you win as many championship as possible this year!
