2008 Average Draft Position Version 2
Mar 8th, 2008 by winabango
After hours of work, it is finally done. Version 2 of the 2008 Average Draft Position and Scarcity report is completed. It still has the 554 players, but now you can sort by team and by league. Thank you to Kendall for providing help with that new feature. I have also kept the first version’s data there so that trends can be easily viewed. I think you all will like the improvements.
As always, please pass the word around to everyone (except for your league mates), and every place that you go. This is where you guys can help the most. Many of you have asked why I do not charge for this. I just feel that this should be free to the community. However, if you want to help me financially, please click on the ads down the sidebars.

Excellent stuff. Thanks for the hard work and for sharing.
Thanks for doing this again! I won my league using your ADP and Scarcity Reports last year, and I am looking forward to another good draft!
wow, that’s some quality stuff right there. thanks
thank you! this is a huge help for my draft prep
Great work. This is an integral of my draft day strategy. Thanks.
Fantastic scarcity reports. Thank you so much for sharing this. Wow! You really did your homework and produced an handy and easy to use resource. Thanks again.
[…] This is just a reminder that the 2nd version of the 2008 Average Draft Position and Scarcity Reports are available here. […]
this is the exact resource I was hoping existed. Thanks! - Aaron
I noticed the first report set you could tailor the results to your league’s settings? Does that mean there is a way I can adjust the spreadsheet to reflect a 4X4 or am I misunderstanding?
Thanks, GREAT draft tool and God bless ya’ll for not charging. You’re definitely bookmarked.
You tailor your rankings by moving the players around in each tier. Just move the cells around in excel, and order the players the way that you want them. Most sites make their documents in pdf and do not let you edit them. I think you should adjust the tiers to your liking.
question from a rookie: what does the “+” mean in “Alex Rodriguez 40/20/+” ?
The “+” and “-” are batting average indicators. The legend on the Scarcity Reports explains them.
+ projected batting average above .290
- projected batting average under .260
nothing indicates a projected batting average between the two.
Do you have a version with the NL Only tab complete?
yes. It is available as its own download in the Fantasy Resources section.
No you didn’t win your league Tyler I did
Kelly,
Great job on the average draft position document. It really comes in handy during the draft.
I noticed a small problem, though. For some reason, you have two abbreviations for the White Sox in the team column (CWS and CHW). CHW has most of the players and is in the AL, while CWS only lists Konerko, Thome, and AJ and is in the NL for some reason.
Just wanted to let you know.

This has got to be the best tool available for guys that don’t have a lot of extra time to research, other than an hour or so per day. Can’t wait to use it for my draft this sunday!
[…] There’s a lot of pre-draft tools, cheat sheets, and player rankings floating around on the internet. But you won’t find anything more valuable than the combination of Kelly’s Ultimate ADP, and RotoAuthority’s 2008 Fantasy Baseball Projections. […]
Excellent resource. Well done and much appreciated!!
Wow. thx. it’s very helpful~
