2010 Bet Board
Dec 9th, 2009 by winabango
Those who are fans of “Fantasy Focus Baseball” on ESPN know about their bet board. Just in case you don’t, each time they strongly disagree about something they make a bet and “put it on the board”. Then they track everything to see how it plays out.
Here at Fantasy Gameday, we will be doing something along the same lines. As we progress throughout the 2010 off-season, statements will be made by the writing staff or posters in the comments section. Anytime there is a definitive disagreement on what will happen during the 2010 baseball season, I will “put it on the board”. Of course the parameters will be set and a measure determined.
So here is the Bet Board

- The follow bet has been posted:

The pairing with the best 5×5 stats over the course of the season wins
1/15/10 - Ivar commented here about the selection of Seth Smith in the 2010 Fantasy Baseball mock draft. (Ivar and Kelly)

4/6/10 - Bet between friends has been established. Duzzy and I will battle over the year end value between Jay Bruce and Adam Jones.
- The follow bet has been posted:
Adam Jones (Kelly) vs Jay Bruce (Duzzy)
The highest ranking on ESPN player rater by the end of the season wins. Minimum of 450 at bats for both players

H2H doesn’t take into account streakiness. Roto is a better judge of overall performance IMO. Or you could try both
