I stumbled across your site this past March and downloaded your baseball Avg Draft Position and Scarcity Reports. I have played fantasy baseball for a few years without much success in the drafting department. I drafted my team, as well as a buddy of mine’s who was out of town. I just wanted you to know that your rankings were awesome. I stuck to them pretty strictly throughout the draft, and as of now, my team is in first, and my buddy’s team is second. We are both owning the league, as a lot of other people overreached for players who are bombing while I waited to pick players when you said to. I also picked some gems before others could.
I just wanted you to know your draft strategies have worked for me, at least, and have helped a lot.
I will use your reports every year from now on. You are awesome. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the compliments.
Kelly
I found your rankings and scarcity report just days before my fantansy draft last year. I printed it out as a “secondary” resource for my draft. However, I found myself turning to your research and reports more often then not and picked a great team that went on to win my league. While other teams “reached” for great pitching, I sat back and waited until the proper round for each guy and had a killer staff of “average” pitchers. I look forward to the 2008 version of the ADP and scarcity report and another solid year of fantasy baseball.
I am glad that the research helped you in your draft. Be sure to stop by when I release the 2008 version of the report.
Any idea on when you fantasy baseball scarcity report is going to come out, didn’t have it for fantasy football finished 7
very helpful
I’ve been creating and using ADP as my draft list for a few years now to find bargains/value as the draft moves along, and I always have had competitive teams. But the scarcity report is awesome, what a great idea! I’m pumped to start my draft tomorrow.
I’ve used your tier rankings in my baseball/football drafts last year and they were a HUGE help. The organization makes it easier to draft and make quicker decisions (which are appreciated in live drafts). The fact that you can visually see when a position is becoming scarce is a huge advantage to combing through a top 200 list to see exactly how many good 1B are left.
Breaking out the tiers by average round taken is an enormous help. Thanks again for a great resource!
Is there going to be an updated version of the ADP? It’s been a great help and was hoping there was going to be an updated version based on the site’s updated ADP reports.
Yes. It should be posted sometime next weekend.
Was curious how you determine what 24 drafts to use.
As many drafts from as many different sites as possible. Most are “expert” drafts, and others are some that were hosted by this site. The more rounds, and players selected, the draft had the better.
When do you anticipate the 1st version of the scarcity rpt for football to come out? I know, it’s only the beginning of July
winabango,
I’m inquiring about when you might post the ADP and scarcity report for the upcoming Fantasy Football season. I have a live online draft on August 17, and I’m hoping to use your expertise to pick a winning team.
I used your baseball report last year and it helped greatly. I’m in a keeper league where we keep 8 players, but lose 3 rounds to keep them. For example, I drafted Prince Fielder in the 21st round 3 years ago, so he cost me an 18th round pick in “07 and a 15th draft pick this past year!
Your stuff helped me determine the best value as far as keepers go! Keep up the good work!
I am currently targeting around the 2nd weekend in August for release of the football ADP.
Hey, I used your Football ADP spreadsheet last year and it was incredible! When is this years coming out?
Kudos for a great site and awesome tools!
I guess I should have read your last comment before mine!
Second week of August. Thanks!
Hahaha. Now that is funny. I may possibly get it done the first week in August, but the 2nd week is realistic for me to be certain of a release time.
Great job again with the Fantasy ADP!
